Wheel Throwing and Altering Larger Vase Shapes
Adult Wheel-Throwing Class for Intermediate and Advanced Students
Tuesdays 6-9pm | January 21 - February 18
This 5-session course will cover wheel throwing and altering techniques for larger vase forms. Kara will demonstrate her classic forms with pinched bottle-necks. Students will be shown various post-throwing alteration and decoration techniques. Students are encouraged to bring in different form ideas to explore in class. The pottery process specific to throwing larger taller forms will be covered; starting with clay prep, through to glazing a finished piece. They will leave with new skills and some finished pieces of pottery!
All materials and tools are included.
In addition to 15 hours of class time, students are eligible for 5 hours of solo work time to use during designated, monitored studio open hours to continue building their skills and to make progress on their class projects.
