camp clay is a safe, equitable, community-based contemporary art space. Largely designed around cone 6 oxidation ceramic processes, camp offers member space, classes, workshops, and firing services for ceramic enthusiasts of all levels. Located in the heart of Bend, our studio provides a clean, safe, and spacious creative space where individuals can explore their passion for pottery in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Equipment:

  • 2 SKUTT 1227 kilns

  • Slab roller

  • Extruder

  • Teaching area separate from member area

  • Shared storage space for works in progress (wet room and drying cabinets)

  • 6 wheels

  • Wedging tables

  • 4 Work tables dedicated to each color of clay (white, red, speckled, dark)

  • Epoxy sealed floor for ease of cleaning and health

  • A wet & a dry vacuum for easy cleaning

  • Multiple sink traps, dedicated to clay/glaze so that the contents are recyclable

  • Glaze studio with at least 6 studio glazes

  • Glaze lab where you can learn how to make your own glaze

  • Basic tools such as brushes, bats, sponges, mixers, and some hand tools

  • Glaze spray booth

  • 60 sq. ft. Semi-Private Studio (375/mo)

  • 60 sq. ft. Semi-Private Studio — Shared (425/mo)

  • 80 sq. ft. Semi-Private Studio (400/mo)

  • 80 sq. ft. Semi-Private Studio — Shared (450/Mo)

Each shelf unit measures 3ft wide x 4ft tall x 18in deep. Ware boards are provided for the shelves, and shelves are mostly intended for tools, clay, and glaze storage as there is shared storage space for works in progress.

Studios come furnished with track lighting, a work surface, power outlets, and modular shelving.
